Abstract

The study collected data and analyzed the development of the Russian economy. The aim of the study is to identify problems and imbalances in national production, distribution and use of income. The information base of the study was made up of statistical data of Rosstat. The analysis was carried out according to the theories of social reproduction and national accounting. Real
sector under study is divided into three subsec-tors, in terms of appointment produced by the sectors of production and for final consumption, intermediate consumption in the production of other goods, and investment purpose. For measuring distance of products to final demand used indicator of Upstreamness, compared with the same industries in the U.S. economy. The basic tendencies and problems of development of commodity-producing sector of economy, and also distri-bution and use of the received incomes are revealed. Among them, the sectoral disparity in the production of added value, the slowdown in the development of industry, the imbalance between the growth of business in-come and the inhibition of investment, the inconsistent development of the labor market, the continuing ex-port-oriented economy with excessive dependence on world prices for raw materials and intermediate prod-ucts are singled out separately. It is noted that due to the prolonged stagnation of incomes, consumer demand is developing due to lending. It is concluded that many key economic indicators failed to reach the level of the average monthly value of 2008. The directions of the solution of the designated problems are offered. Emphasis is also placed on the need to increase the incomes of all agents of the
economy in the framework of measures to lengthen the value chains. The base period in the study is 2008 (the highest point of development of the Russian economy in most indicators).
